"Having their hair fixed gives residents an instant lift", says Betty Perkins, who has been cutting, shampooing and perming hair at The Woodland for 10 years. "I enjoy being here and listening to the lifestories of our residents."

The Woodland provides personal transportation for medical appointments and lab work, both in the Farmville area and also to Lynchburg and Richmond. Driver Sandy Hickman says, “The safety and the comfort of residents always comes first.”
